system cannot find the file specified

One of the guests doesn't power on. It errors out with "a file cannot be found".

It's looking for the parent vmdk in the wrong location. The disk it's looking for is in /vmfs/volumes/51e... but it's looking for it in /vmfs/volumes/49c...:

"DISKLIB-CHAIN :"/vmfs/volumes/51e..../Redhat/Redhat-000001.vmdk": Failed to o

pen parent "/vmfs/volumes/49c..../Redhat/Redhat.vmdk": The system cannot find the file specified."

Where can I make the change so that it looks for it in the correct directory? I've tried to make a symbolic link but it won't create.

This can be changed in the vmx file.

When I checked, the vmx file only had an entry for the snapshot vmdk (-000001.vmdk).

I tried changing the snapshot vmdk to the parent vmdk and it powers on but then it wouldn't be the latest state. The snapshot vmdk is the latest one which I need.

Any other things I can try?
