Hi,
I have successfully installed the ESXi Update 4 into a server and I need to find ways to import our existing
VMServer 1.0.6 guest VM (WIndows 2000 server and Windows 2003 server) into the ESXi. My colleague
told me that he did the similar tasks before and it only required to copy the files from guest VM into
datastore and the VM can be up.
However, I tried this solution and it did not work. It reported error on the harddisk (SCSI HD), something
like "inconsistence " or "reference not found".
Does anyone offer me a possible way to do the import? Or I need to use vCenter Convertor to import
those VMs into ESXi?
Thanks for your attention in advance,
Raymond
Use VMware vConverter to convert between the different VMWare products
Download VMware Converter: http://www.vmware.com/download/converter/
By far the easiest way of migrating your vm's.
