One of my ESX 3.5 hosts is seeing the following warnings in the vmkwarning log:
Feb 23 09:44:07 esx06 vmkernel: 126:19:52:11.933 cpu9:1656)WARNING: VSCSI: vm 1657: 5850: closing handle 0x208d with 5 pending cmds, 2 ref count
Feb 23 09:44:08 esx06 vmkernel: 126:19:52:12.839 cpu15:1049)WARNING: VSCSI: 2837: Ignoring double reset on handle 8333
How do I figure out what those warnings mean and if they are of concern?
Thanks,
Jeff
Check the /var/log/vmkernel on the exact same time.

Thanks. It looks like it correlates to a VM that had an application spin out of control. The sys admin reset the VM at the time of those errors.
Yep, it seems a very cold poweroff, or a weird storage error. Good you find is the first one.
