I installed ESX 3.5 on fusion and configured properly. Can ping Vcenter, localhost, gateway, etc and vice versa from both VC and ESX VI3 VM. It seems when I try to add an ESX host on the VC which resides on another box (Windows of course), I get REQUEST TIME OUT error. I have used both IP and hostname with no luck. i have also fully opened the firewall holes for the ESX and made certain there were no firewalls running on any hosts. Is there something that needs to be configured in the networking properties for ESX?
I came across another post in which someone seemed to figure out the problem but was so eloquent in NOT providing the solution but simply letting us know that a solution was found.
