how to change NC port vmnic0 vmnic4

Hi,

I have installed ESX 3.5, and server is having nic adapter with 8 port, when installing OS i was selected port 1 i.e vminc0 for console.

actullay nw cable is plugged into nic port 4, so i am not getting ip address,

how to change and get the network up for console.

it would have to be done at the console but you would do something like

esxcfg-vswitch -U vmnic0 vswitch0
esxcfg-vswitch -L vmnic4 vswitch0

here's a helpful guide as well

you could also re-install ESX and bind to the correct pNIC, that way your COS will be vmnic0 instead of 4
