I'm pretty "green" when it comes to the new SAN and VMware but i'm getting better. What i an having a hard time figureing out is exactly where is the snapshots getting stored when they are taken. Are they kept in the volume that the LUN's are stored in or are they somewhere else? I am having storage issues and i think snapshots are part of the problems...i think. The LUNs that show up in vcenter appear to have enough space but my storage shows different stats. Any thoughts or comments are welcome. Thanks
The snapshots are created in the same folder as the VM with the snapshot. The sizes are dynamic, but they take some time to show up, sometimes you have to force it by right clicking the datastore and click 'refresh'.
