Slow Migration between iSCSI LUNS

hi,

Using ESX 3.5 Update 3 with a All-In-One HP iSCSI Storage Server.

When I migrate from local storage on the ESX host to the iSCSI storage server its quick.

Once the VM is on the stroage server i attempt to migrate from LUN1 to LUN2 (both on the same Storage server) the result is a very very slow migration..

When it become slow, what is the utilization of the Disk performance from ESX host? You can try to match the performance with the available bandwidth you have for storage I/O on ESX host to further analyze

when I migrate FROM the ESX host local storage to the iSCSI lun its fine.. nice and quick.. roughly 70% Network Util...

Migrating the VM from LUN1 (stroageserver1) to LUN2 (storageserver1) then I get a very slow migration.. 10mb/sec network.. I/O util looks fine also..

Do you have multiple NICs teaming for your software ISCSI initiator?

Yes I have four NIC's teamed... two going into one switch and two going into another switch...

on the ESX server I have the same...

I dropped the teaming and put a single nic on the iSCSI network on ESX and now its zooming along nice..

My question now is why did my teaming going up the creek and how do I set it up to use teaming correctly?
