Scripted installation

hi,

I have an IBM x445 with 2 onboard nics - broadcom - and 2 other intel nics. After a manual ESX vi3 installation an intel nic port vmnic0 is assigned to the service console. Also vminc3 is detected as intel.

I created a kickstart config file and a bootable CD, I could reinstall the ESX whitout major issues.

However after the scripted installation vmnic0 and vmnic1 are detected as broadcom with vmnic2 and vmnic3 being intel.

Is any way I can "make" - in the script- vmnic 0 and vminc3 broadcom ?

You can try playing with the IRQ settings in your system BIOS. What is the real issue though? vmnics can be placed on any virtual switch.
