Hostd.log flooded by haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse Messages

Hi. I use ESX3.5 without Virtual Center. The Machine runs for a while, has been patched with all updates today.

When use the VI Client and watch the systemlogs there, thousands of entries are created:

Task Created : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1893

Task Completed : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1893

Task Created : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1894

Task Completed : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1894

Task Created : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1895

Task Completed : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1895

Task Created : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1896

Task Completed : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1896

Task Created : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1897

Task Completed : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1897

Task Created : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1898

Task Completed : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1898

Task Created : haTask-ha-host-vim.DiagnosticManager.browse-1899

As you see: 12 entries are generated/second.

When I leave the systemlog area in VI Client, the messages are no longer generated. This behaviour seems to be not very good.

I read forum message, where they said, this could be by HA enabled in a cluster. How can I configure such a cluster if I have none?

We have exactly the same issue with VI Client on stand-alone ESX 3.5 U3 (VI Foundation).

It looks like it is a bug in VI Client, because the log is flooded only when you go to Administration / System Logs tab.
