Hello, I'm trying to create a VM on ESX 3.0.0 from an ISO of Windows XP Pro with SP2. The VM is set for LSI logic and it reads the iso. I come the blue screen that says, "hit enter to install windows." When I press enter, the install fails because it cannot detect any hard disks. What's up? Thanks for your help!
The XP CD doesn't have the LSI drivers so you'll have to copy the driver floppy image to the host and then press F6 during the install to add the drivers. See the first link for doing this with LSI drivers. The 2nd link has the same but for the Bus Logic controller. The last link has a great program which you can use to integrate the drivers onto the install CD.

Dave,
Thanks for the quick response. The virtrix website you provided had the right solution. As a note though, I could not find the right symmpi driver on the LSI website so I just downloaded the vmware one for xp. Worked like a champ. I'll check out the nlite. Might be better than autostreamer. Thanks again!
FYI: some XP CDs have the lsilogic driver.
