ESX 3.5 works on Intel Quad core Q9550 ?

Hi there

I'm working for week trying to build a good whitebox that works with ESX 3.5 not ESX 3i I have one working fine with the last

Problem I'm in SouthAmerica and we are not plenty of boards and processor

The topic is

CPU Q9550

Motherboard Intel that support the Quad Core running 1333MHZ because I saw notes that ESX3i only see one core

8MB RAM

SATA support

LAN support

I read the utimate VMWARE ESX White box info and other sites but nothing about Q9550 and the boards listed like Asus P5xxx and so on are not accesible in my country

I think he wants a list of motherboards that support that processor, but in South America he can't find the one's he wants and knows will work (such as Asus). The problem is I don't know how to find inventory in South America, so we need a list of what boards he has access to, but there is no way to tell unless it's tested.... That's the problem.

I built one with ESX 3i with Intel Q6600 and DX38BT and 8GB 1033MHZ SATA works but LAN don´t

We tried to install ESX 3.5 in the same machine but the install after charge linux image reboots. May be I have to try with a pen drive or something

That's fine, esx35 comes with a service console, and that is probably what you're seeing..

I'm not sure if I can be of much help with the intel boards, but I would suggest doing a quick search in the communities to see if people have got a config going with the options you've listed..
