Checking LUN path's

Hi ,

I have a VC 2.1... runnning , which manage's two ESX boxes . Also i have some datastores too...

Is ther any way to find out how many paths to the LUN's allocated are seen by each ESX's .

Please help me ...

With the Virtual Infrastructure client, select the server and then the configuration tab. Under Hardware select Storage (SCSI, SAN, and NFS) and then select the datastore that you want to find out about. In the details selection you'll see the number of paths that are available, broken and disabled.

The most visible and detailed way to tell is to ssh in to the ESX host , login as root and run:

esxcfg-mpath -l

This will display each hba:target:lun , the multipathing policy and /dev device associated with that lun, number of paths available to that lun and what path is currently being used to access that lun.
