Cannot Disable Lockdown Mode

Hello all,

Been building some new ESX 3i servers, and have come across a very strange problem. All servers are HP DL580G5 running 3.5 build 110271 with the HP supplied 3i keys.

I have been struggling all day to get two out of 6 hosts added in to Virtualcenter. I can ping the host, and do reverse name lookup, from the Virtualcenter server but, when I try and add the host, I get "unable to connect to specified host".

I have checked all the configurations and the only difference I can see is that these two hosts have lockdown enabled and all the other servers have it disabled. But, if I try and disable lockdown on the host, it lets me go in and deselect the check box, but when I press enter it still says it's enabled. So I can't switch it off. I can only think that this is what is stopping me adding the hosts in, as the configuration is otherwise exactly the same to the other hosts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am tearing my hair out.

Go into the security profile and make sure vc agent and license server are checked and allowed.

From the vc server, make sure you can access the host on ports 902 and 443.
