Unable to access a file since it is locked

This error occured after changing a secondary disk size d: from 4 GB to 8GB. Browsing to the disk it still shows as 4 GB

the server was down at the time. the server will boot up if I remove the drive.

The ESX server release is 3.02

The guest server is Windows 2003

I tried attaching the drive to another system with the same error.

I need to recover this drive if at all possible

Attached are the vmdk files - old and one that was recreated.

Did those drives contain Data before you started this process because the ones you attach are only 300+bytes??

Attached are only the descriptor files, not the -flat.vmdk files
