You need to ensure the provided target is reachable and resolvable from the SHD appliance.
Also from the attached screenshot, I see you have provided "root" user while connecting to the target.
FYI, if you are trying to connect to a vCenter Server please provided SSO credentials and root credentials for connecting to an ESXi host.
