SRM/vSphere Essentials

I doubt this is possible, but I'm checking for a client. Will vSphere

Essentials Plus work with SRM, assuming they had purchased (2) bundles?

According to http://communities.vmware.com/thread/210202 (see depping's post) this should generally work, however as you can also read in that thread, there are limitations due to the features (not) included in the Essentials edition.
