Hi Everyone,
Greetings!
May I ask for your help, we have a client who has an error with their View Manager. Attached here is the screenshots of the error.
Looking forward for your response on my queries.
Regards,
Joms
Are they using an XPe client? Black boxes are a well-known combination of bitmap caching and not enough space to store them - try turning off bitmap caching using the View GPO file.
Hi there,
How can we turn off the View GPO file?
Regards,
Joms
GPO file is shorthand for a file containing one or more Group Policy Objects (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_Policy). In this case C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware View\Server\Extras\GroupPolicyFiles\vdm_client.adm contains the policy you're interested in, I believe it's called BitmapPersistence and can also be manually set in the registry for testing purposes with:
HKCU\Software\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\Client\RDP Settings\BitmapPersistence = (DWORD)0
i have the same problem but i don't understand very well where is it
HKCU\Software\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\Client\RDP Settings\BitmapPersistence = (DWORD)0 is on ther server ? i found this on the server
POLICY !!BitmapPersistence
EXPLAIN !!BitmapPersistenceExplain
VALUENAME "BitmapPersistence"
VALUEON true
VALUEOFF false
END POLICY
do i have to modify somethig there i' m not sure what do i have to do
thks
