USB Display Adapters

We have users who are wishing to use dual screens within our vmware view environment, we are using Startech USB vga adapters and these work fine on the underlying windows 7 pc but once we log into view the device is not being pulled through, the autoconnect usb device is ticked and when we select the device the view session detects it and then the screen just goes black and we have to kill the session.

Any suggestions gratefully received

horizon view supports multimon configurations - but not via USB redirection. due to bandiwthd and network latency there is no way that such a device would work with sufficient performance to remote a display.

Ok thanks for that, I have now tried a pc with a dvi port and a vga port and again the displays works as expected within windows and the display extends onto the 2nd monitor, upon logging into view we only see the one monitor again

well, view does support multi monintor display topologies.

a few things to check;

1. are you connecting using the PCoIP protocol?

2. is the pool configured to support multiple screens, and is the resolution on the pool side correctly configured?

3. when you launch the desktop using the view client, are you asking it to launch in fullscreen mode.

cheers
