VC user logging and monitoring

Hi

In my environment, multiple users can access the Virtual Center to manage GuestOS.

Sometimes, if more than one user is using the GuestOS console, I can get the message "Number of active connections has changed.".

Can I get more information about when / which user is using this console ?

Furthermore, multiple users can access VC with VI.

For security issue, I need to know who is using / where (IP address) / When / what they have do .... ?

For these information, where can I find out?

Thanks

I don't know if it logs, but if you check the Admin tab and look at sessions, you can at least see who is currently logged in. Some things are tracked as "Events" but I'm not sure how much information is stored.

I just checked the events tab and it shows what and whom, but not where...

I agree that in Admin tab you get to know who is logged and what is he doing like vmotion and all and that information kept in your Event log.

Now if we have to check in detail then we have logs which create regularly.

Client.log file which has all the info and it resides on : C:\Docume1\<user>\Local1\Temp

FilesTo collect VC client and server logs, use script “vclogs.wsf”. See KB1935:http://www.vmware.com/support/kb/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1935

I hope you will able to pull these logs and can find who has done the damage.

Thanks
