vpxclient fail

Hi,

I'm trying to connect to ESX host or vCenter with 'VMware vSphere Client'. Unfortunately nothing happens after hitting Login button. No single packet is sent to ESX/vCenter server (checked with wireshark), vpxclient hangs forever. Problem appeared after installation of VMware vSphere PowerCLI. Are those two products incompatible :)? I have no idea how to debug this situation.

I'll be very grateful for any help.

Have you uninstalled the vSphere Client and reinstalled it? Are you using IP or hostname to connect to ESX Host or vCenter Server?

Yes, I have. Uninstall + reboot + delete remaining files from profile folder + install = nothing changed Smiley Sad

Second question: both. I'm able to ping remote server and I can login via https without any problem. My computer and servers are on the same subnet. I'm not using any proxy, my personal firewall is off.

Where are you getting your vSphere Client installation file from? I would try downloading the client again from a different source or just try downloading it again from the same source. Uninstall and then reinstall the client. Just seems to me that something fishy is happening during your installation.

I've just found that rvtools does not work too. It seems that something is wrong with my .net environment... I'll try to uninstall whole .net env.
