vmkfstools -i always creates a new delta

Hi there,

Each time I use the command

vmkfstools -i param1 param2

a new vmdk delta file is created.

To be complete, before using this command I create a snapshot because my vm is running.

Why ? Is it normal ?

More details please  - post exact coomands plus a filelist - the contents of the vmsd is also interesting
