Hi Guys,
lately we have updated our hosts to the latest esxi VMware ESXi, 7.0.3, 19482537
i've seen this article and i dont know if it related to my AHCI but the speed is really slow.
i have a VM running the latest vMware tools 11365
12 CPU ( Cores per Socket 6 ( Sockets : 2 )
32GB Memory
HDD of 200 SSD on the RAID 10 ( HPE SSD hard disk ).
Hardware version is 19
Server HPE 360 Gen 9
Smart Array P440ar
but the speed is very poor.
i hope someone can point me to the right direction
Hi,
I follow your post.
I have same issue.
I have two RAID 5 array (4 SSD/array), and one RAID 1 array for the system.
Between the two RAID 5 arrays the speed was 70 MB/s, I tested it on ESX 7 and 6.7.
I checked the speed if the system is win 2019 server, speed was 1500 MB/s!
The array settings was totaly same.
I made other test, I made two RAID 0 array from 1 SSD, in this case I need get back the native ssd speed, but I got only 130 MB/s.
I move the SSD's to the other HPE 380 Gen9 server, but I get totally same speed.
So I think it is look like driver problem only on ESX. 😞

I hope somebody can help us.
thanks
