I had a team in which I added 2 NICs. One NIC is made active and other was set as an unused adapter. Now I made the active one down. Now I pinged from an outside client to the VMs using the team-ed NICs which results in a failure. But the VMs that are connected to the same vSwitch using the team can ping to each other. I am not sure whether this is the expected behavior or not. Because the outside client and the VMs should work in the same way as far as ping is concerned.
