what are the scripting languages we can use in vmware vsphere? and which one is popular one?

I think the most popular one is PowerCLI as it offers the most functionality I think.

And there's the vCLI.

As per me, PowerCli followed by Java. However, I use Java

Start with platform you're most comfortable with, most people use PowerCLI because vCenter on Windows, and very easy to get started.  If you want to do more advanced automation, then you will need the ability to talk to the vSphere API and in that case move to language that another languages i.e Java or Python.
