Hello,
Thank you for the opportunity.
I had issues with Dell RP4VM and TSE suggested to "symbolic link" scratch folder to location of install (same as vcenter configured location).
Only after to realize it is Not Supported on vSAN.
Now 1 host/node miss some -kdriver logs in var/log/ and is not able to start service due to the fact, NO "scratch/log" dir.
I managed to re-install splitter on host/node but unable to see /scratch/log/ or to start kdriver services, as explained above.
Can you agree that to re-install ESXi will be easiest solution?
regards,

Hi @MyJourney
Sorry, but we need more information. You refer to this note in VMware KB 1033696
Note: It is not supported to configure a scratch location on a VSAN datastore.
So you still have a local ESX installation. On SD card? Or another local RAID? Where did you change the scratch log configuration? I do this as written in the KB (https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1033696)
Regards Daniel

Tanks for taking time to reply.
Indeed I followed the steps and was able to point the scratch location to "my/file/I/wanted"
