Used size is bigger than allocated. I have no snapshots

Hi Community,

I have been doing some research but have not found an answer to my issue.

I have a HPE Customized ESXi 7.0.2 Image version 702.0.0.10.7.0 for HPE Servers based on VMware ESXi 7.0.2 release.

Many of the machines have a much bigger used size than allocated. For instance, I have allocated 100 GB for one of them and now uses 321,79 GB. I have no snapshots on any of the VMs (I add a screenshot in case I'm not seeing it right -sorry it's in Spanish).

Do you know why it uses so much space and how to reduce it?

Thanks

Hi,

I am a little confused. As you say you don´t have any snapshots? But your screenshots obviously shows multiple snapshots?

Each Snapshot can increase in size up to the maximum size of the base disk.

Imagine 100 GB base disk, so each snapshot can increase up to 100 GB.

You can see the various .vmdk files in the datastore browser in the VM home folder.

.vmdk files ending with "-00001" or something like this, represents your snapshot disk.
