Did an upgrade to 6.5 ESXi today from 6.0. Seemed to go fine, but now i cannot start my VMs. Every one i start gives me this error code.
Any ideas? Thanks.
Please attach the /var/log/vmkernel.log and check if the following blog post helps: Terence Luk: Unable to power on virtual machines on ESXi host with the error: "Invalid or unsupporte...
FLJamie,
Can you power on the machines if you move them to a different host? It may be due to insufficient disk space on the host or VMFS volume. I would look over the logs as well as check the free space on the ESXi partition.
Will try the different host once i get it setup. It is a small server and not a lot of space is being used. Primarily used for a test lab and a VPN server.
I found the following in your VMkernel log:

And with that message I found another similar thread with a solution, see: upgrade esxi from 6.0 to 6.5,VM can't power on
