Ubuntu Lucid Segfaults in ESX 4.1

Has anyone else experienced this bug?

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/source/linux/bug/659422

Anyone have a workaround? It appears that only ESX 4.1 with the 2.6.32-25-generic kernel is effected. The -i386 and -generic-pae kernels both boot fine.

This problem still persists.  Even with my workaround of using the generic-pae kernel, I have had some users report this issue.  On what they think are identical ESX 4.1 servers.  I have not been able to reproduce the issue with the generic-pae kernel on any of my ESX servers however.

I have seen Linux kernel bug references to VMware (not just Ubuntu). Those would be a Linux issue not ESXi. Changing ESXi to work around a Linux kernel issue would not be good. Get yourself an earlier or later kernel.

I will have to try again, but I think even the .35 kernel was a no-go for me.  I will report back when I get a chance to try it again.
