We have a UCS server with ESXi 7 Update 1 installed. 2 Datastores with each 5 TB SATA HDDs. They are configured as Raid 0 with Cisco 12G Modular RAID controller with a 4GB cache. Network is 1000 Mbps Full Duplex set to Auto-negotiate speed. I confirmed that our backbone supports 1 Gbps speeds.
When I try to upload iso files to the Datastore I get extremely low speeds that caps at 200 KB/s. Same with the download from the datastore. I tried uploading directly from ESXi, try WinSCP, same results. However I installed a CentOS 7 VM on the same Datastore and when I upload files to this, I get upload speed around 6 MB/s.
Anyone has seen this behavior? Am I doing something wrong?
