Shared vdisks is not updating on one of the vms

hello

i have an environment were two vms are sharing a vdisk. but when we write to the disk from one of the vm, it doesn't reflect on the changes from the other VM.

i shared the vdisk as per the guidance were i created a second iscsi interface on both the vms and added an existing disk to the other VM.

Kindly support how i can rectify this

Hi,

Sharing VMDK between two virtual machines will be handled by virtual infrastructure but there are other requirements:

  • The virtual machines should be clustered by native clustering features such as WFCS or by third-party clustering tools.
  • The disk should be added as clustered disk or managed by some features such as Oracle ASM.

Otherwise, the operating systems doesn't aware about changes and why the OSes should aware?!

Hello Davoud,

I actually removed the Multi-write option and the disk is now visible on all hosts.

Kind Regards
