Same pattern of CPU utilization on all the VMs

Hi,

We are managing few VMs on our ESXi server.

Problem we are facing is that CPU utilization of all the VMs follow the same pattern. If the CPU utilization of one server goes high, others too follow the same.

This behavior is very much alarming when the CPU utilization reaches 100%.

Attached image clearly show this.

Can some body help me to understand this behavior?

Hi vmpaga,

The first thing I would look at is your CPU %Ready Time and can you tell us what your ratio of vCPU to Physical Cores is?

A good way to get your overcommit ratios using powercli

Struggled so much, Still I couldn't get it running.

when try to import vSphereOvercommit to the power-shell, I got many lines of error message. Please see the attachment.

Should I try to resolve this error or should I think of alternative ways to resolve my problem?

Load powercli module first or run from a powercli prompt

It was my mistake. When downloading I just right clicked the psm1 file and saved. What I got was a HTML content not the actual psm1 file.
