I have a storagedevice containing a VM created under ESXi 4.1. I have added the disk to a new server that runs on ESXi 5.1. Can I mount the 4.1 VM (Add to Inventory) into ESXi5.1 without any problems? I would like to run the VM on ESXi5. Thanks!
Yes you can add to inventory of ESXI5 the VM created on ESXI4.1 with no problem but the hardware version should be 4 or greater than 4..
Its has been created on a ESXi 4 machine, so I guess that won't be any problem....Thanks for answering my question!
