Hard disk size reporting 0 in properties?

Hello,

We have a virtual machine that is reporting hard disk size as 0 in the virtual machine properties window.  At the moment the virtual machine is still running and working fine.  There are no other underlying issue that we know of.

Is this a known issue?  Is there a known workaround?

Thanks,

Dan.

I haven't seen this before!? Which .vmdk files do you see in the datastore? Do you see the <vmname>.vmdk files or the <vmname>-flat.vmdk files?

Here is the datastore that holds the first 3 disks.

Out of curiosity, do you see the same behavior in the Windows based vSphere Client?

Yes, same behavior on any machine using the windows based client or the web client.  So something tied to the vm.

Interesting. Which version/build of vCenter Server and which ESXi host version/build do you use?

To rule out communication issues between the host and vCenter, please check the VM by connecting the vSphere Client directly to the host. If this reports the correct values, you may restart the Management Agents (unless you have something in place which relies on the Agents).

I had already tried that, and it is reporting incorrectly as well even when connected directy to the host.

Version of ESXi 5.1 is 914609
