Hi all, I have a couple of HP DL380 G8 servers with a dual 10GB NIC embedded. The OS is ESXi 5.1 Update 2. For the life of me I can't see to be able to partition the 10GB in these Servers. I'm able to log in to the NIC management console and see the configuration and set the weight for each of the 4 partitons of the 10GB but some how I can't seem to be able to see the partitons in VCenter.
I've been successful at configurationg the BL460 G8 via the Virtual Connect but I can't seem to be able to make it work in the DL380s. I have a ticket open with HP and another one with VMware (HP support). We have updated the Firmware and installed the latest Driver on the server but still I can't seem to make it work. At this point I have my doubts that this can even be done since HP support is also having a hard time.
Does anyone been able to get this working as to where the 10GB NIC shows up in VCenter as 4 NICs with speeds specified for example (vNIC0=1GB, vNIC1=1GB, vNIC2=2GB and vNIC3=6GB)
