Guest machine Unable to write data to CD/DVD..

Hi Please help me i want to burn my file to disc but i got this error message "Invalid Command Operation Code". my analysis is the quest machine cannot properly execute command the hypervisor up to the cd/cvd rom. can i do some code command to my hypervisor? please help...

As I remember is not possible on ESX/ESXi vitualize this kind of device.

At least, with the full ESX, maybe you can try to use cdrecord insede the service console (but I never tried).

on top of that if you're using ESXi 4 you could do a USB passthru, but then it would be very slow and does not make sense at all.

thanks for your input, i think vmware need to assist this because this is part of the standard computer.
