Esxi 5.5 install - keyboard stops working

So I get to the portion where it says hit enter to continue and I can't.. the keyboard stops working.

About 25% through the loading bar the numlock turns off and the keyboard stops working.

I've turned on legacy support, IOMMU and enabled port 60/64 emulation just in case.

Any suggestions?

Already had to inject the network card drives to get rid of that error.

After reading it looks like this is a common problem.. is there any way to avoid having to purchase a PS2 or a USB PCI card to fix this?

Well, I got it to work with a ps/2 keyboard, any recommendations to get the USB ports to respond? looked at the logs and ive got this:

"new usb device found...

USB Hub found

5 ports detected

interface is claimed by hub

device is not available for passthrough."

That repeats a few times throughout the logs.

Further down it reads

USB1 - 7: Suspended
