Dear VM Experts,
I have one HP Server running EXSI6.5 U3 (Build 19997716).
Recently when a VEEAM agent running backup for one VM hosted on this Server, after some minutes, this Host (and also all VMs on it) will lose Network connectivity, but the EXSI is running well, I can operate it as normal.
I tried Restart management network it doesn't work, but if I disconnect and reconnect the cabling, connectivity will recover.
Considering this only happens on backup activity, will it caused by network card? I tried limit the speed to 100M full duplex, but not help, and I already have lasted version of Network drive.
driver: igb
version: 5.0.5.1
firmware-version: 1.8.2
bus-info: 0000:07:00.1
Any log could help to understand this issue?
Thanks 1000.
vmkernel log can give some information on this.
/var/log/vmkernel.log
can you try to reproduce the issue and attach the latest vmkernel log with time stamp to check the errors ?
Hello.
Please indicate the type, model and brand of your network card, if it is onboard please indicate the manufacturer, type and model of the server.
Thank you @SureshKumarMuth
It's a remote site that next visit time for me is 1 week later.
I try to attach the log of 2 weeks ago when I did the backup test there. Can you found something?
Thanks for your time.
Thanks @e_espinel
This is an old server should be retired, but unfortunately...

Hello.
The first thing would be to update the Intel Corporation 82576 NIC,
The driver to 5.2.5
If this does not solve your problem, then update the firmware.

Thanks a lot @e_espinel
But...sorry, I don't understand... Because if I check https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/detail.php?deviceCategory=io&productid=4254&deviceCat...
the latest version for 6.5U3 is igb version 5.0.5.1, why there is a 5.2.5 for EXSI 5.5? And is it compatible with 6.5 U3?

Hello.
in the hp proliant dl180 g6 Server, the integrated card is HPE NC362i Integrated Dual Port Gigabit Server Adapter.
VMware sees the dual port NIC as separate cards.
I don't think you have 2 single port nics in the server slots.
