ESXi 4.0 not seeing 4 GB RAM even though BIOS does

I've installed ESXi 4.0 on a Dell Optiplex 620 with the latest BIOS A11 with 4 GB RAM installed. The BIOS sees all 4 GB, however when I go look at the memory through the ESXi software I see only 3.5 physical RAM registered. Note: I've already found out about the whole reserve memory for the vmvisor and I know that it's not stealing the RAM. I've adjusted the vmvisor a little bit so that after it takes its chunk (256-384 MB) I'm left with ~2451 MB for my VMs.

Any idea why ESXi is only seeing 3.5 GB of physical RAM?

Thanks

What CPU does that have in it? I didn't think the GX620's would even install ESXi 4.0 as the CPU's aren't compatible. (I think you need a Core 2 Duo minimum)

I have/had a GX620 running ESXi 3.x and seeing the full 4GB with no problem. (Pentium-D CPU)

It's a Pentium D 3.2 Ghz, No hyper-threading but a dual-core. It does support 64-bit and ESXi runs on it, but just doesn't see all the RAM.

Hello,

I'm not sure how this works if you got my previous post, but here's the

reply that I posted.
