ESXI7 on Dell R620

Hello

Used ESXi for a while but not to familair with the hardware setup....

I have a second hand Dell R620 with 4 x 600Gb hdd.

i installed ESXi V7 and once logged in it only showed 1Tb capacity in datastor due to raid settings.

I reset to raid 0 and reinstalled and now unable to create a datastor as it doesnt see any hdd.

What is best practice here when setting up the server hdd/raid.partitions etc...before insatlling the ESXi?

First, do not install on RAID0 in production environment.

And there is no issue. Actually, ESXi, other hypervisors and operating systems will see logical drive and there is no problem about installing on different RAID types.
