ESXI 8.0.U1; host not keeps saved the ntp values

Hello to everybody,
I just see a strange thing. The "enable ntp client" value is  lost:

vmware_ntp.JPG

I enable and save it of course, but when I enter into the ntp management I find this value lost and it is on "Configure manually the time on this host". Is there something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Ciao!

Hi,

Topic already discussed in several other circumstances, however,

The setting related to NTP services is indeed correctly saved, but what you see is the result of the fact that you have to navigate to the "services" tab and start the NTPD service which by default is stopped. Remember to set the start policy you want (e.g. start & stop with host).

Ferdinando

Hi Ferdinando,
really many thanks for your reply. I'm sorry for my late.
The ntpd service is "running" by default on my case, but you have suggested me the solution anyway:

I set the entries about the ntp settings after to stop the ntpd service (and after I started it of course).

The ntp entries now are keep saved.
Thanks a lot!

Ciao
