Cloning/copying - additional network adapter

Hello everyone,

perhaps I can find some help here.

We got a VCenter Server - View Solution, with currently two physical servers. One server is the management server and additionally holds the templates for the view desktops. Unfortunately we just have a 100Mbit network which means about 3 or 4 hours cloning procedure. Now I tried to connect both both machines directly without the "detour" through 100Mbit router. I used static IP adresses and setup new switches in VCenter Server network configuration for both systems. This had no effect...

Is there a solution?

Perhaps you can give me a hint!

Thanks!

can you post your vswitch config or describe your setup

example:

vswitch0: vmnic0

virutalmachineportgroup

vswitch1: vmnic1

managementnetwork: vmotion/managemnet traffic enabled

etc.

Ok!

System 1:

vSwitch0: vmnic0, vmnic1, vmnic2

Virtual machine port group:

VM Network

Virtual machines:

Machine1

...

VMkernel-Port:

Management Network

System 2:

vSwitch0: vmnic0, vmnic1, vmnic2

Virtual machine port group:

VM Network

Virtual machines:

Machine1

...

VMkernel-Port:

Management Network

Each system has another free network adapter vmnic3. I want to use these adapters for direct 1GBit connection between System1 and System2.

Nothing additional activated. Standard configuration.
