Can MTUs be modified on ESXi?

Hi all,

  We were requested by networking to modify the MTUs on some ESXi boxes.  Is it possible to do this?  If so, can some one point me in the right direction?

yes, just ensure your switches are setup the same way.  The below article will show you how to configure the MTU

I don't remember where I read about this at the moment. However, if I remember correctly this is only possible with the paid licenses, not in the free Hypervisor.

a.p. - You're correct, since MTU can only be modified using the remote vCLI esxcfg-vswitch or PowerCLI equilvenet, you would need a paid license to do so as noted here (http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2011/06/dreaded-faultrestrictedversionsummary.html) but the alternative is to enable TSM and using the local esxcfg-vswitch to do so
