Buffer I/O Error: vSphere 4.0.0 build-256968

I am receiving the following repeating errors:

end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 0

Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 0

Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 1

How do I determine what drive device sr0 is?

Usually those are ordinal values, so 0 is the FIRST device, 1 is the SECOND device.. that's probably a good guess.

These errors appear when the DVD drive on the host is empty. Put a disk in, the errors stop. And VM's can read the disk fine.
