Adding oem.tgz to existing installation

I am trying to add oem.tgz to an existing usb installation. I place the file in /bootbank and reboot, but none of the files in oem.tgz are present after reboot. I assuming there is a step I am missing.

Also, is there any reason I shouldn't be able to put a symbolic link in oem.tgz or would there be a better way to create this link upon reboot through a script, etc?

Thank you!

Did you add an entry to the boot.cfg ?

ESXi only loads modules that are listed in boot.cfg
