3D Support Settings

Im abit confused on the 3D support check box on vcenter for esxi hosts settings.

When i check the enable 3D support box the VM is really slow? compared to when it isn't checked is there anything that needs to be installed or updated or something as its really laggy?

Do you have any 3D graphics card installed on the ESXi host?

Configuring 3D Graphics

VMware supports AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. See the vendor Web site for supported cards. To use the graphics card or GPU hardware, download the appropriate VMware graphics driver from the vendor Web site.

Go to the NVIDIA Web site for information about the VMware graphics driver for your NVIDIA graphics card.

Go to the AMD Web site for information about the VMware graphics driver for your AMD graphics card.

If you are using View then most likely you use this.
