Hi all. I'm new to virtualization and Vmware and I'm implementing a server with Esxi4 and 3 virtual machines, each running Windows 2008 R2. One is a domain controller with applications another is a member server with data files and the third is a member server with Exchange 2010.
What is the best way to backup the 3 servers? I would like to have a monthly backup of each server and then a daily backup of data folders and Exchange mailboxes.
Is Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R2 suitable for this or can anybody recommend some other economical solution? Can I just use Windows Server Backup instead, as this is a free solution.
Any help and advice would be appreciated.
