Is it possible to extend an existing 500GB virtual hard disk to 2TB for VMware vRealize Log Insight 4.6.1?

Hi there,

Is it possible to extend an existing 500GB virtual hard disk to 2TB for VMware vRealize Log Insight 4.6.1 or 4.5.1?

Will it be usable as every article found is suggesting to add as a new 1TB or 2TB virtual hard disk for a total of 4TB?

Thanks in advance!

No, do not extend any disk currently used by Log Insight. Doing so may corrupt the system. You must always add a new disk and never expand an existing one.

Hi stephenyu05,

You can add a new disk of up to 2TB for a total of 4TB (2x2TB or 4x1TB) per node. Thanks.

Hi is there a particular reason why you added a hard disk that size rather than archiving it to NFS which you can manage?
