When I am getting a disk space usage alarm for a VM , how does vROps found out the disk usage is it from VMware tools? I have some VMs whitout VMware tools and vROps still provide good reports about disk space
My understanding has always been that VMware tools is providing the introspection necessary to expose to vROps information about the guest's file system utilization numbers. If you say you have VMs without VMware tools and vROps is still able to get in-guest utilization numbers of out them, I would be curious to understand how that is happening.
Yes I am not sure how vROps cloud find out the remaining size of the disk space. I thouhg it can be via SDK or API not sure if my assumpation is correct
