How to develop plugin for VCOPs

Hi,

  We want to develop custom plugin for VCOPS. Any document describing step-by instruction to build the plugin would be really helpful.

  Is it possible to have custom dashboard which fetch the information from web server.

Currently the VCOPS SDK is private.  You can contact your VMware rep for information for how to apply for membership into the private SDK program.

Alternatively, you can contact a vendor like Blue Medora who IS in the program and is currently developing a slew of VCOPS Management Packs of their own as well as for 3rd parties.

A custom dashboard can fetch HTML content, but only presenting it on a dashboard (e.g. similar to a frame). That HTML content cannot interact with the vC Ops dashboard elements via interactions or otherwise. (as of 5.8.1)
