Cassandra on vROps 6.2 failing

HI,

We've had an issue with vROps 6.2 where the cassandra service keeps going down on some of the nodes in the cluster.

We have vROps deployed as medium sized appliances with 1xMaster, 1xReplica, 2xData nodes and 2xRCs

in the wrapper.log for cassandra we see the following.

INFO   | jvm 1| 2016/08/03 20:24:35 | WrapperManager Debug: Received a packet PING : ping fffffea5
INFO   | jvm 1| 2016/08/03 20:24:35 | WrapperManager Debug: Send a packet PING : ping fffffea5

STATUS | wrapper  | 2016/08/03 20:31:37 | JVM received a signal SIGKILL (9).

STATUS | wrapper  | 2016/08/03 20:31:37 | JVM process is gone.

ERROR  | wrapper  | 2016/08/03 20:31:37 | JVM exited unexpectedly.

It comes back up after a short while. But we are unsure what is causing the problem. We have tried clearing the cassandra cache as described in https://kb.vmware.com/kb/2144358

But that doesn't seem to help.

We have also tried upgrading from 6.2.0 to 6.2.1 but it fails since cassandra seems to go down midway on some of the nodes.
